Frequently Asked Questions

Availability monitoring for Russian IT teams

Contact Engineering Support

General Operations

Core functionality, account configuration, and notification routing.

How does UptimeGuard calculate availability percentages?

We aggregate TCP handshakes, HTTP response codes, and DNS resolution times from 14 monitoring nodes, including dedicated endpoints in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Novosibirsk. Availability is computed over a rolling 30-day window, with a 99.95% threshold automatically generating SLA compliance reports.

Can I invite team members to a single dashboard?

Yes. Business and Enterprise plans support unlimited seats. You can assign granular roles (Admin, Analyst, Viewer) and configure role-based access to specific monitoring groups, alert channels, or historical data views.

What happens if I exceed my monthly alert limit?

UptimeGuard never blocks critical incidents. If you surpass your plan's notification quota, we automatically route excess alerts to your designated email fallback and log them in the audit trail. You can adjust thresholds or upgrade in Settings without service interruption.

Technical & Monitoring

Check frequencies, protocol support, and infrastructure reliability.

What is the minimum check interval?

Standard plans offer 60-second intervals. Pro and Enterprise tiers reduce this to 30 seconds or 15 seconds, respectively. Synthetic transaction monitoring runs on 5-minute cycles across configured browser emulators with full JavaScript execution.

Which protocols and endpoints are supported?

We monitor HTTP/HTTPS, TCP, UDP, DNS, SSH, FTP, and custom SSL/TLS certificate chains. API endpoints support JSON and XML payload validation, header matching, bearer token rotation, and mTLS client certificate authentication.

How are false positives minimized?

Every incident requires confirmation from at least two geographically distinct nodes before triggering an alert. We implement intelligent retry logic with exponential backoff and TLS fingerprint rotation to avoid WAF false blocks and transient network blips.

Billing & Data Privacy

Transparent pricing, invoice handling, and data security compliance.

How are invoices generated and delivered?

Invoices are issued on the 1st of each month and delivered via email in PDF format. Enterprise customers can request automated EDI integration or direct billing to a designated corporate account with standard 14-day payment terms.

Where is my monitoring data stored?

All telemetry, configuration files, and user credentials reside in our primary data centers located in Moscow and St. Petersburg. We maintain AES-256 encrypted backups in Frankfurt for disaster recovery, ensuring compliance with local data residency requirements.

Can I export historical uptime logs?

Yes. You can export CSV, JSON, or Parquet files covering up to 24 months of historical data. API endpoints also support real-time streaming of check results via webhooks or direct REST queries with OAuth2 authentication and IP allowlisting.
